ABOUT ME

Born in China, I was adopted by my family and now reside in eastern PA in Coatesville. I was later saved by Jesus Christ and now live by Philippians 1:21 "to live is Christ, and to die is gain." I discovered my passion for computer science back in high school 2019 and have been coding ever since! After fall semester Freshman year, at Grove City College, I quickly came to love entrepreneurship. Proceeding graduation, I hope to move south to warmer climates. Check out my resume here!Over the years I have consistently involved myself in learning new hobbies, projects, and skills to better improve my talents and abilities. With each new interest comes a bucket full of failures intertwined with learning, but each builds my character and mind.

PROJECTS

It's Banana Bread LLC

It's Banana Bread is a business that I started with my roommate, Jonathan Witte, Spring 2023 at Grove City College. IBB's goal was to inspire the comfort and memories of home-baking in the lives of college students. We achieved this goal by offering online ordering and delivery to all students on campus. For this upcoming school year we will be looking to expand and/or change our consumer base.I personally serve as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer. My responsibilities include: recording and handling all financial transactions, creating and updating our website, as well as assist in the creating and delivery of our banana breads.

Faros Initiative

Faros Initiative was a semester long business that I ran with three other colleagues at Grove City College Fall 2022. At Faros Initiative, our goal was to shine a light on human trafficking in western PA. "Faros" is the Greek word for "lighthouse," symbolizing hope, restoration, and resilience. Our handmade wristwear products were thoughtfully crafted to expose the human trafficking industry in Pennsylvania.I personally served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Accountant. My responsibilities included: ensuring daily operations went according to plan (from the creation to delivery of our products), supervising all financial transactions, managing the bank account, balancing our financial sheet, and tracking inventory.

Coding Projects

I have been and am working on many coding projects. They range in complexity from simple games like snake or tic-tac-toe to creating a website to run my business on. Some projects, such as chess, I ended up coding twice - the first time I coded chess was in Java then a few years later again in Python. I also have worked on more algorithmic projects such as a wordle solver or a path finding algorithm. I have made a few 2D games using Unity framework as well. You can find most of my projects on Github.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Faros Initiative - 2022

Starting with just an idea, our group was able to gross $1,500 in sales from our business within 2 months! At the end of our sales we ended up donating about $1,300 to Refuge for Women Pittsburgh - emergency housing organization for women who have been trafficked. Our group had to overcome many obstacles to achieve this.

Elevator Pitch - 2021

Won first place in an Elevator Pitch competition at Grove City College. My pitch idea was about a advanced mosquito trap idea I had. To win the competition I practiced for 7 or more hours for just a 2 minute presentation!

Mock Trial - 2019

In high school, my friend and I had to teach a team of novices, most of whom were introverts, as lawyers and witnesses in the court room. After hundreds of hours of work, our team went from one of the worst teams to one of the best in the states! During the competition season, our team only lost to our school's A Team in district finals - with a split decision among the judges!
